The Martin Bill created the nation's first publicly supported institution of higher learning for women, originally known as Industrial Institute and College. The first class was admitted in October of 1885 and graduated in May of 1889. Immediately following graduation, the class, realizing that their education was a priceless gift which they wanted to make possible for future generations of women, formed the first alumnae association to support the alma mater we have served faithfully for almost 120 years.
Please plan to attend this wonderful celebration of our heritage and the recognition of outstanding alumnae/i who have served our alma mater and our communities at all levels from local to international.
