W alums enjoyed the “special flavor” of Mississippi University for Women thanks to a "quasquicentennial" commemorative birthday cake served at the West Point Library.

Thursday, March 19, Luncheon with Books at the Bryan Public Library in West Point where Dr. Bridget Pieschel was the guest speaker. “You can certainly tell Bridget is in her element when she is talking about the W! She captured everyone's attention with her readings from Golden Days,” said W alum Lenore Shields Griffin, adding,

“The Friends of the Library also had a W birthday cake (which was already cut when I arrived!), and we all joined in a verse of Happy Birthday to the W.”
